If you want your visitors to stay on your website and learn more about your company you need to make your site easy to navigate. You need a very clear menu that is blatantly obvious to see.
Whether the menu is along the top or down the side of your page doesn’t really matter, it just needs to be easy to see.
Studies have shown that when a visitor arrives at your site it takes approximately 7 seconds for them to decide what action to take, they are either going to click on one of your links or leave your site forever.
There are no second chances, there are billions of other web pages for your visitor to go to and they do not need any excuses to leave.
If you have a menu or links to your pages that are not so obvious you must tell your visitors to click on your links. i.e. “click the links below to find out more” or “click below to see how we can be of benefit to you” etc. You must tell your visitors what to do, they are not going to be on your site long enough to make decisions, tell them to click on those links and tell them to do it now.
